Home Again privacy policy

Effective 1 August 2026

Home Again is developed by Drift. This policy applies to the Home Again apps for iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, and Wear OS.

Data collection

Home Again does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics. Drift does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data through the app.

Information used on your device

On Apple devices, Home Again may request location access to show nearby stations, adapt the commute display, and provide an optional arrival alert. Location is processed on the device and is not sent to Drift or included in requests to Metlink.

Home Again stores preferences such as selected stations and rail lines locally on your device. Apple app extensions may share these preferences through an Apple App Group so the app, widgets, complications, and Watch app can show the same commute information.

Home Again may request permission to send local notifications for arrival alerts or public-transport service information. Notification preferences and scheduling remain on your device.

Public-transport information

The app uses an internet connection to request public-transport departures, service alerts, and related information from the Metlink Open Data API. Requests contain public stop, line, or trip identifiers. They do not contain your device location. Metlink may process standard network information, such as an IP address, when serving requests under its own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Drift does not operate a Home Again user database. You can remove locally stored preferences and notification settings by deleting the app or clearing its data through your device settings.
